1937 On the 22nd of April is born John Joseph Nicholson in Neptune, New Jersey, USA. Later known as Jack Nicholson, he is one of the best actors of his generation.

1954 Jack moves to LA, where he is spotted for his good looks and gets a place in the famous Jeff Corey’s acting classes and also an internship at The Players Ring Theater.

1958 The actor makes his movie start in Baby Killer, a low budget production. The next decade brings a lot of this kind of unknown movies for him.

1962 Jack marries Sandra Knight, who he has a girl with.

1969 Nicholson stars in Easy Rider, playing an alcoholic lawyer. The role brings him fame and a first Oscar nomination.

1970 The actor stars in another successful movie, the role in Five Easy Pieces bringing him a new Oscar nomination.

1973 Nicholson starts a relationship with actress Anjelica Huston. The relationship will last for more than 20 years.

2003 Nicholson plays among Adam Sandler in the comedy Anger Management.

2013 Nicholson announces his retreat from acting because of memory losing issues that stop him from memorizing the lines.
